Import Attributes on Nodes

In this view you can import attributes and attribute values to set on the nodes.

The attribute values that are imported can be set on an existing attribute or on a new attribute that you can name in the import interface.

Note: It is not possible to create new nodes by importing attribute values on nodes.

How to - Show Import Attributes on Nodes

  1. Click on the role Application Maintenance in the navigation tree
  2. Select Nodes and object types > Import attributes and values

How to - Prepare the Import File

  1. Open a new text file
  2. Start each row with the name of one of the nodes you want to set an attribute value on
  3. After the name on each row, tab to add attribute values
    • Note that there must always be the same amount of tabs for values on different rows to be set on the same attribute
    • The top row in the file can be used for column headers, e.g. defining the name of the attribute
    • The same number of values must be added on each row
    • To set values on an attribute that is not created, simply add the values in a separate column and you will later be able to connect them to a new attribute using the import interface
  4. Save the file

Example:

Name Location Active
Node1 Stockholm Yes
Node2 Oslo No
Node3 Helsinki Yes
