Traffic Cases
Traffic cases offer you the possibility of using several price lists from different providers on the same main group and node.
This is useful for example if international calls are routed through one provider and all other calls are routed through another provider. You would then create a traffic case for the node where all traffic types in the traffic category international calls are collected.
Rules for how this is to be matched must be defined, e.g. access 1, access 2, area code or trunk. The traffic cases can then be associated with different price lists.
How to - Show Traffic Cases
- Click on the role Invoicing or the role Traffic Monitoring in the navigation tree
- Click on price lists
- Functions for dealing with price lists, imports of price lists and traffic cases are displayed
- Click on traffic cases
How to - Add a New Traffic Case
- Click on add
to create a new traffic case
- Add a name for the traffic case
- Select the node the traffic case applies to
- Click save
- At the bottom of the view, three expandable frames are displayed:
- The frame Included in the traffic case shows the types and categories that currently are associated with the case
- The frame Add loggable fields is used to connect data in the log to the case
- The frame Add traffic categories and types is used to connect traffic to the case
- At the bottom of the view, three expandable frames are displayed:
How to - Add Log Field to Traffic Case
- Expand Add loggable fields by clicking on expand
- Select a loggable field in the menu
- Enter values in the must match fields to define an interval of values to be included in the traffic case
- Click on save
How to - Add a Traffic Type or a Traffic Category to a Traffic Case
- Expand Add traffic categories and types by clicking on expand
- Select traffic types in the menu:
- Traffic category to choose between traffic categories
- Traffic type to choose between traffic types
- If you select Traffic type you must also select for what traffic category to show the traffic types
- If there are many traffic categories/traffic types they are displayed on several pages with numerals above the table (e.g. 1 2 3...). Click a numeral to go to the corresponding page.
- Check items to include them in the traffic case
- Click on save
How to - Edit Traffic Case
- Click on the name of the traffic case you want to edit
- Edit name if necessary
- At the bottom of the window, three expandable frames are displayed:
- The frame Included in the traffic case shows the traffic types and categories that currently are associated with the case
- Use the frame Add loggable fields to connect data in the log to the case
- Use the frame Add traffic categories and types to connect traffic to the case
- At the bottom of the window, three expandable frames are displayed:
- Expand Included in the traffic case by clicking on expand
- Uncheck items that are not to be included
- Click on save
