Excluded Dates

False alarms may be caused during bank holidays or other days when the traffic for some reason is very low, but without anything being wrong. To avoid alarms for these days, you can set up rules to exclude particular dates from the alarm surveillance. E.g. a bank holiday that is on the same date every year, can be added as a recurring date.

How to - Show Excluded Dates

  1. Click the role Application Maintenance in the navigation tree
  2. Click System monitoring > Alarms
  3. Click add excluded date in the Links menu Icon Links.png

How to - Exclude an Individual Date

  1. Click add Icon Add.png in the Date section
  2. Select a node the excluded date applies to, or select all if it applies to all nodes
  3. Select a date to exclude from the alarm surveillance
  4. Enter info about why the date is excluded, for future reference
  5. Click save Icon Save.png

Note: Dates that have passed are automatically removed from the list.

How to - Exclude a Recurring Date

  1. Click add Icon Add.png in the Recurring date section
  2. Select a node the excluded date applies to, or select all if it applies to all nodes
  3. Select a day and a month to exclude that day in that month from the alarm surveillance every year
  4. Enter info about why the day is excluded, for future reference
  5. Click save Icon Save.png
