Import Data
The import tool offer the possibility of importing traffic costs from other systems to manage the invoicing in Pro 9. The import tool can also handle imports of services, log cases and traffic types.
Call costs can be imported either specified (call by call) or aggregated in various ways. The process of performing an import starts with identifying the type of cost to be imported, e.g. call data from a mobile operator. The file is prepared to match the file format specified for that particular import and then the file is moved to the folder on the database server defined for file import.
If you have import files with different encoding it is possible to activate text file code page, the choice of code page will then be selected per import and import type. Activated text file code page will be available for both manual imports as well as automatic imports. Please contact Servicedesk for more information.
When mobile call data is imported from file for a period that has already been closed (and maybe invoiced), the costs related to these calls are posted in the following period. It may then be helpful to track the actual date of the calls, to be able to follow-up on the costs for a specific period. In this case, add a field for actual call date to be able to show this information in the dynamic report.
There is an option to have the Import content panel added to general and customized imports (just like reports). The panel can list new objects in a separate panel/grid (just like in the main search view) so it is easy to continue to work with the import result. Please contact Servicedesk for more information.
Imports can be customized with Excel multi sheet support, contact Servicedesk for more information.
Note: It is possible to run the same import simultaneous and import more the one file at the time
