Log Cases
In the Log cases view you define one or more prefixes to use for each different traffic type in Pro 9. These log cases and the connection to traffic types together build the foundation for a price list, where each traffic type is a row in the price list. For reporting purposes, you also have the functionality to declare if the traffic type is telephony calls, SMS, MMS or data traffic. All traffic types are grouped into traffic categories.
You will achieve the best results if you consult Enghouse when defining log cases.
How to - Show Log Cases
- Click on the role Invoicing or the role Traffic Monitoring in the navigation menu
- Click Dial plan > Manage log cases
How to - Search for Log Cases
- Enter the whole, a part of the prefix or % to search all prefix in the box Find log case
- Click on search
- A table with the result from the search is displayed. The table may run over several pages.
How to - Create a New Log Case
- Click on New log case in the Links menu
- Enter a name/description for the log case
- Select a traffic type for the log cases
- Select the loggable field in the traffic data to use to match against
- Select a code or a code series, i.e. an area code or a series of area codes
- Select a country for the node
- Select a node for the log cases
- Choose a method for adding log cases:
- Add new log cases and update existing - if you want to update the previously logged data
- Add new log cases and don't update existing - if the change is to apply from now on
- Click on save
How to - Edit Log Case
If the log case no longer applies to a particular traffic type, you can edit it.
- Search for the log case to edit (instruction above)
- Click on the name of the log case you want to edit
- The Edit log case view is displayed
- Change the parameters you want to change
- Click save
How to - Delete Log Case
If the log case no longer applies to a particular traffic type, you can delete it.
