Nodes
Nodes always belong to a node type. To each node you then attach a number of object types, which in their turn consist of objects to be administered in Pro 9.
Example:
Node type | Node | Object type | Objects |
PBX | MX-ONE | fixed extension | 3345 |
PBX | Cisco | fixed extension | 4255 |
Mobiles | Operator XX | mobile phones | 0736681111 |
Devices | IT Devices | iPads | xxxxxx |
How to - Show the Node View
- Click the role Application Maintenance
- Click Nodes and object types > Manage nodes
- A list of all nodes for the selected country and node type is shown
How to - Create a New Node
New nodes should only be added after consultations with Enghouse.
- Click add
at the top left of the table
- The Edit node view is displayed
- Enter the name of the node
- Select the country the node is located in
- Select the node type of the node
- If there is (or have been/will be) an integration for call logging on the node, check the calls have been or are to be logged to the node box
- If calls are logged on this node during the weekend, check the calls are being logged on weekend box
- If this box is checked, alarms will be sent if there are no calls on weekend days
- Select an interval value to define how often call data is to be loaded to Pro 9
- Select an interval unit from the menu; days, hours or minutes
- If costs will be imported from file to this node (e.g. mobile call costs), check the costs will be imported on the node box
- If the node is a PBX, enter the local area code for the area where the PBX is located
- Select the correct node type info in the menu
- If there is an AD/HR integration connected to this node, check the has integration box
- If this box is not checked, no automatic synchronization with the AD/HR system will take place
- Define the minimum number of objects (only necessary if the node has an AD/HR integration)
- If the number of objects in the synchronization with the AD/HR is lower than the set minimum number of objects, no synchronization will take place and an alarm will be shown/sent depending on setup
- Define the maximum number of uncategorized calls as a percentage
- If the number of uncategorized calls exceeds the set maximum percentage, an alarm will be shown/sent depending on setup
- Define the out-access code, i.e. the code needed to enter before the phone number to be able to call external calls
- Define the time zone offset (only used for Cisco PBXs)
- The time zone offset value defines the number of hours the data differs from UTC and take count of summer/winter time
- Click save
- Set any attribute values
- Click save again to save attribute values
How to - Edit a Node
- Click on the name of the node you want to edit
- The Edit node view is displayed
- Change the parameters you want to change
- For information on the node parameters or attribute values, see the information above on creating a new node
- Click save
How to - Delete a Node
You can only remove nodes that do not contain objects.
- Check the box for each node you want to delete
- Click the icon
to open the action menu in the toolbar above the table, and select delete
How to - Change Node Permissions
- Click on the name of the node you want to edit
- Click the permissions button
- A table of persons with permissions on this node is displayed
- Read more about how to manage node permissions
