Aggregation
Aggregation
The data used in Pro 9 is aggregated on a scheduled basis. This means that the data is used in different calculations, e.g. the costs are reallocated according to moves, adds, deletes and changes in the organization and all calls during in the period are summarized. Depending on system settings, it is possible to choose if calls and/or services having zero costs, should be aggregated.
Aggregation is done for both period data and quality data, and most reports use aggregated data.
The system configuration defines when the aggregation is made. Usually it's done every night, and that means that you are not able to report on the current day because that data hasn't yet been aggregated. You can also choose to aggregate manually.
The duration of an aggregation is somewhere between a couple of minutes and more than one hour, depending on the amount of data and the length of the period.
As long as a period is open, all data for that period is reaggregated every night. The break date defines when the period is closed, i.e. when the data for that period is no longer reaggregated.
