Book Services
The range of available services is managed in the Services view. When the services are defined they can be booked, which is done in the Book services view. Only services that are defined as bookable are available to book.
Booking a service is, from a billing perspective, always done on the lowest organization level, usually the cost center or profit center. A service can be booked on an organization group, an object and/or a person.
Choose between the following ways to book services:
- Book on object - connect a service and the service cost to an object, and implicitly to the cost center the object belongs to
- Book on person - connect a service and the service cost to a person and an object, and implicitly to the cost center the object belongs to
- Book on organization group - connect a service directly to a cost center without any reference to an object or person
- Multibook - connect one or more services to one or more objects or cost centers
In General About Booking Services
- Booking services on objects (e.g. extensions) or persons are the most common ways of booking services. Though, it is possible to book service directly on an organization group, without any connection to a particular object or person.
- One or more services can be booked on several objects or organization groups at the same time by using the Multibook function.
- When the service is booked, an informative text is added to an info field, which is then searchable. These fields can for example be used for case number or order number.
- You can change a booking until the period the booking is placed in is fully aggregated and closed.
- You can unsubscribe one or more services from one or more objects until the period the booking is placed in is fully aggregated and closed.
