Organization Structure

In the Organization structure view you can build an organization structure in Pro 9 to reflect the way your company or organization is organized. This enables you to get more relevant report information e.g. billing reports that fit the organization's structure. You can also get statistics and make follow-ups on the proper organization level, grouped on the company’s various organization levels, and create summaries on levels above billing groups, e.g. creating overviews of a business area or a full department.

Pro 9 uses main groups to structure everything that should be logged and invoiced. Each main group has one or more price lists associated with it. The main group is the top level, and the cost center level is the lowest organization level.

Organization Levels

Each main group has a number of organization levels. Each level has a number of organization groups.

Here are some examples of organization levels and organization groups:

Organization Level Organization Group
Business area Sales
Unit, clinic Personal computers
Department IT Support
Cost center IT330

Organization Groups

All objects in Pro 9 are associated with an organization group (typically a cost center). The organization groups are usually imported from an external register, but can be managed in Pro 9, whole or in part.

For the best results, use Enghouse's consultants when organizing main groups. Organization levels in each main group are built from the bottom and up in each main group. Always start with the lowest level.

Importing from External Registers

Data regarding the organization structure can be imported from external registers, such as Active Directory, automatically each night. Updates from external registers may contain: extension number, extension name, cost center code, cost center name, as well as other levels in your organization. Also, the structure can be managed manually in Pro 9.
