Edit Permissions on Service Categories

In this view, you can add and remove user permissions to view the service categories.

Permissions on service categories for a specific user can also be set in Application Security > User permissions > Search user.

Using permissions on service categories can be used as a way of controlling which admin users that can see what services, in the case that not everyone is working with all types of services.

How to - Show Permissions on Service Categories

  1. Click on the role Invoicing in the navigation menu
  2. Click Services > Manage service categories
    • The Manage service categories view is shown
  3. Click permissions for the service category you want to set permissions on

How to - Add Users

  1. Enter the user name (or a part of the user name) in the Search user field
  2. Click search Icon Search.png
    • A list of all users who match the search query is presented
    • You can only search on the user name, not the users real name. If the user name doesn't exist or if the user is already in the list, the search will not give any result.
  3. Check the boxes for the users you want to add
  4. Click the Save button
    • Selected users are moved from the list and added to the table with users with permissions to the service category

How to - Delete Users

  1. If necessary, click the numbers below the table to go the correct page
  2. Click delete Icon Delete.png next to the user you want to remove from the list of users with permissions
    • The user is deleted from the table and has no longer permissions to the service category
