Permission Templates

In the Permission templates view, you can create permission templates to be able to assign role and function permissions to users in an easy way.

The permission templates are assigned to users in the User permissions view.

How to - Show Permission Templates

1. Click on the role Application Security in the navigation tree
2. Select User permissions > Permission templates

How to - Create Permission Templates

1. Click add
2. Define a name for the permission template
3. Select roles to include in the template by checking the corresponding checkboxes in the list to the right
4. Click save
5. Read more about how to add additional function permissions

Note: Permission templates cannot be deleted, so be careful with creating many permission templates.

How to - Edit Permission Templates

1. Click on the name of the permission template you want to edit

   • The Edit permission template view is displayed

2. Change the name, add or remove roles, or add or remove function permissions
3. Click save

How to - Show Users of a Permission Template

1. Click show users of permission template

   • The users of the selected permission template are shown in a table below the list of permission templates

Note: If a user is assigned permissions using a permission template, these permissions are updated if the permission template later is changed.
