Import of Attributes on Objects

In this view you can import attributes and attribute values to set on the objects.

The attribute values that are imported can be set on an existing attribute or on a new attribute that you can name in the import interface.

Note: If the import file contains objects that don't already exist in Pro 9, you can select to create these objects. So, you can use the object attribute import to create new objects.

How to - Show Import Attributes on Objects

  1. Click on the role Organization Management in the navigation tree
  2. Select Objects > Import attributes and values

How to - Prepare the Import File

  1. Open a new text file
  2. Start each row with the name of one of the object you want to set an attribute value on
  3. After the name on each row, tab to add attribute values
    • Note that there must always be the same amount of tabs for values on different rows to be set on the same attribute
    • The top row in the file can be used for column headers, e.g. defining the name of the attribute
    • The same number of values must be added on each row
    • To set values on an attribute that is not created, simply add the values in a separate column and you will later be able to connect them to a new attribute using the import interface
  4. Save the file

Note: If there are many objects, you can create the import file in Excel and save it as tab separated text file.
