Period
Period
The periods defined in Pro 9 are used e.g. for invoicing, to select a time period for reports and to define how often a subscription service will be billed.
Periods can be manually created by defining a start date and an end date, and several periods can be created in advance. If there already is at least one period, the start date is automatically set to the day after the end date of the last period. The most commonly used period length is months, but for example quarters can also be used. It is highly recommended to always use the same period length, e.g. a month and not necessarily exactly 30 days.
Periods can also be created automatically, using monthly or quarterly period lengths.
The data for a period is reaggregated each night until the break date, when the period is closed. By defining the break date a few days into the following period, you can ensure that all data belonging to the period is available before the period is closed.
